Strategy for the engagement of Welthungerhilfe in Northern Iraq (Kurdistan)

Development of an integrated strategy for the engagement of Welthungerhilfe in Northern Iraq (Kurdistan) to strengthen the rural livelihoods of rural poor in selected pilot areas for the next three to five years. The study contained of an remote phase (due to the crisis and the fragile situation) and field phase. Personal interviews with 250 small and medium holding farmers were implemented in the pilot areas of Niniwe Gouvernorate plus structured and semi structured interviews and focus group discussions with 70 female and male farmers were implemented and analysed.
